Rafiki Beach Camp (related to the Rafiki Safari Lodge) was a wonderful place to stay! Loki & his wife Mauren have recently taken over management of this property, and they were both very helpful & friendly hosts. They are also involved in some great conservation work, including reintroducing the tapir, and are the type of overall good people.

Boulder Beach Campground is open year-round and features large paved sites that can accommodate tents or large RVs, along with tables, fire pits and/or grills. Restrooms and water spigots are located throughout the campsite. Temperatures usually surpass 100F (37C) degrees June-August. In May and September, daytime highs are around 90F (32C).

Rafiki Beach Camp. In 2012, we opened our new camp on Playa Matapalo. The camp features four Luxury Safari Tents set around a great swimming pool right on the beach. You can book the camp directly or choose one of our packages combining both properties. The beach camp is only a B&B, so you will need to fend for yourselves after breakfast.

Rafiki Beach Camp is a family run bed and Breakfast. The owner comes from South Africa where luxury tents camps were founded. The idea of camping on the beach is amazing, especially with hot water showers, hotel beds, tile floors, and an awesome pool! Lautjie is a Biologist and avid outdoor enthusiast.

We offer adventure tours, and specialize in relaxation! if Our luxury Safari tents were any closer to the beach you would get wet! Our accommodations are situated on raised tiled floors. Each tent is equipped with an attached modern bathroom.
